On Wednesday 8th June, we hosted our ESCA U15 school competition at Repton school. On the day we had a semi-final and a final.
Firstly, Repton played chapel en le frith. Chapel won the toss and chose to bowl first. Reptons batters played really well and posted a score of 224 off their 20 overs. Unfortunately, Chapel were unable to get close to the Repton total because of some very good bowling and they finished their 20 overs 55-7. So Repton progressed to the final.
Onto the final and Dronfield won the toss and chose to bat first. The Repton bowlers carried on from the semi-final and bowled very well. They restricted Dronfield to 58-8 off 20 overs. In reply, Dronfield’s bowlers were very good in taking 5 wickets while trying to defend their score however Repton chased the total in 12 overs.
