First Aid Courses

The Derbyshire Cricket Foundation has arranged a programme of Emergency First Aid courses aimed at supporting Coaches, Team Managers, Club Safeguarding Officers, and other volunteers in cricket. It is recommended that all coaches actively working in clubs and schools have an up to date first aid certificate, this should be renewed every 3 years.

The syllabus will include:

• Incident/ Accident Management
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• Wounds, Bleeding and Shock
• Minor Burns
• Sports Related Injuries to include Soft tissue injuries, Fractures, Head injury
• Helmet removal
• Any other relevant topics – time allowing.

Courses have been spread throughout the county to make them as accessible to volunteers as possible.

Courses can be arranged for individual clubs who have a significant number of volunteers needing to attend a course.

Cost is £30 per person and places are offered on a first come first served basis – early booking is advised. Further courses will be added to the programme subject to demand.
